Henry J. Bartnick

Henry J. Bartnick, 93 of Alford, FL, died on Saturday, November 5, 2017 at Chipola Pavilion at Chipola Retirement Center.

A native of Hazelton, PA. Mr. Bartnick had a residence in Alford for the past 28 years. He was a devoted member of Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church of Fountain.

A WWII veteran, he served in the army from 1943-1946, decorated with the Good Conduct Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with 2 Bronze Stars and World War II Victory Medal. He continued his service by joining the Army Reserves from 1946 to 1949.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Olga Bartnick of 61 years and by his parents, John and Mary Bartnick. 

Survivors include his daughter, Mary Ann Eatmon, four sons: Andrew Bartnick and his wife Deborah; Christopher Bartnick and his wife, Marlyss; Joseph Bartnick and his wife Cindy; John Bartnick and his wife, Sheilla; and three grandchildren A.J., Nicholas and Lydia Bartnick. 

Graveside memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016  at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. 

Military honors will be provided by the Ft. Rucker Honor Team.
