James D. “Danny” Calloway, 65, of Marianna, formerly of Malone, died Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Jackson Hospital.
Danny was born on June 13, 1952 in Panama City, FL. He lived most of his life in Jackson County, FL where he enjoyed farming, fishing and hunting. Danny served in the U.S. Army Reserve for 14 years. He was a truck driver for several years, and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Malone, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil & Janice Calloway.
Danny is survived by his wife, Jan Calloway of Marianna; his daughter, Morgan “Monkey Doo” Taylor and husband, Brad; two step daughters, Teneil Lucious & Stormi Clemmons; Brothers, Chuck Calloway and wife, Angie, Kim Calloway and wife, Sharron; sister, Myra Messick and husband,Dane; several grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Friendship Baptist Church with Pastors Gary French and Danny Sumerlin officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
