Martha L. Daffin, 87, of Marianna died Thursday, September 7, 2017 at her residence.
Martha was born February 25, 1930 in Lakeland, Fl. She was employed with the State of Florida for 33 and a half years as an Accountant. Martha sang live Gospel Music on WTOT Radio from 1947 to 1948. She enjoyed her family more than anything, including her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Martha will always be well known for her sweet potato and pecan pies.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Buran; mother, Alice “Madonna” Welch; daughter, Charlotte Anne Daffin Harris; two brothers, John Eugene Welch and Jerry Buran; sister, Helen Claire Buran O’doniel.
She is survived by her husband, James B. Daffin, Jr.; son, Robert Edward Daffin and wife, Royce of Marianna; brother, Ron Buran and wife, Mary Ann; three sisters, Eula Prine and husband, Bob, Mary Wilson ( Kelly Sloan), Norma Bell and husband, Michael; granddaughter, Lory-Anne Cheesborough and husband, Jonathan of Havana, FL; grandson, Casey Edward Daffin and lady friend, Denise Hall whom was Martha’s caretaker, both being from Fort Braden, FL; great grandson, Blaine Edward Daffin of Marianna; great granddaughter, Emme Lourdes Cheesborough of Havana, FL; multiple nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friend, Becky Wester, whom was like a daughter to Martha.
