Yvonne Melvin Barnes, 79, of Ashford, AL, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was a native of Jackson County, FL, and had resided in Ashford since 1963.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Estelle Melvin; sisters, Dora Brannon and Johnnie Cook. Mrs. Barnes is survived by her husband of 60 years, Roland Barnes; two daughters, Donna Adcock and husband, Phil of Tuscaloosa, AL, Lori Williams and husband, Brooks of Columbia, SC; one son, Bill of Greencastle, PA; and one grandson, Patrick Adcock of Tuscaloosa, AL.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday July 22, 2016 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel in Marianna. Graveside services will follow at Salem Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, 2555 Kynesville Rd, Cottondale, FL 32431.
